To celebrate his arrival to our leadership team, we sat down with Jay to learn more about his journey, what drives him, and the vision he has for the future of DCA at TheBest Claims Solutions.
How did you get started in the claims industry?
I’m a second-generation claims adjuster. That being said, my curiousity was sparked from an early age. I went on to study Business Administration and Marketing at Florida Southern College, and from there, my path naturally led me deeper into claims.
What inspires you to keep doing this work every day?
I love partnering with people, whether that’s teammates or external partners, to deliver exceptional outcomes. There’s a real privilege in fulfilling the insuring agreement and guiding policyholders through their most uncertain moments. It’s about being there when it matters most, and that responsibility fuels my work.
What are your responsibilities in your current role?
As Executive Vice President – Head of Delegated Authority, I’m building and growing a Delegated Claims operation that’s rooted in transparency, accuracy, and proactiveness. My focus is on resolving claims in a fair and timely manner, which will enhance the customer experience while also delivering on our clients’ expectations.
Looking ahead, what excites you most for the future of DCA?
What excites me the most is being able to tailor a claims operation to our partners’ needs, one that is both personal and precise. When we combine that with delivering an exemplary customer experience and meeting client needs, we create something truly special.

I hold CPCU, AIC, AINS, and AIS designations. These aren’t just letters—they reflect my commitment to continuing education and reaching the highest standards in claims. I firmly believe that you earn trust through action, not intention.
What’s one thing we wouldn’t know by looking at your LinkedIn profile?
When I’m not immersed in claims, I’m likely attending a concert with friends or elbow-deep in a DIY project. I love woodworking, tinkering with cars, and taking on new projects around the house. It keeps me grounded, creative, and always inspired.
